ANQ successfully conducted its 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 20th December 2020 from 14:00 to 16:30 via ZOOM meeting platform.
Meeting was conducted as per following agenda:
1) Reviewing and reporting annual work
2) Briefing annual financial statement
3) Electing new members
4) ANQ future plans
Over 30 members, including the executive team and the part of advisory board, attended the ANQ 17th AGM. Firstly, the program started with a short welcome speech by ANQ president,Mr. Pramesh Gupta, where he also expressed deep gratitude to the Nepali community members for their kind support. Moreover, he acknowledged the executive members, advisors, sponsors, volunteers and general members for their continued support to ANQ throughout the year. Secondly, ANQ vice-president, Mrs. Samira Khatiwada also expressed her warm welcome to all attendees and analyzed shortly her viewpoint about ANQ’s 2020. Themeeting was further hosted by ANQ secretary, Dr. Salyan Bhattarai. He presented the annual progress report and annual plan for the year 2021. In 2020, ANQ activities were mostly limited withthe online programs, which were less in numberand varied extraordinarily in different ways with ANQ’s regular outdooractivities, which is because of COVID-19 pandemic.Therefore, ANQ received many constructive feedbacks from the general members and its advisors and encouraged for the continuation of those activities in 2021as well. Next, ANQ treasurer, Mr. Saurav Gautam presented the financial report for the year 2020. He further clarified financial queries raised by the members and advisors.
In addition, advisors, Dr. Hemant K. Paudel, Mr. PabitraUpadhaya, MR. Prakash Mungrati, MR. Yubaraj Bhandari, Mr. Gita Parajuli and Mr. Rishi Shrestha reviewed ANQ 2020 activities from their own perspective. They provided many valuable suggestions to the board which can be a pathfinder for organizing new and attractive programs in near future.
Lastly, AGM elected three executive members to fulfill the vacant position. The newly elected members are as follows:
Existing advisors and the community members congratulated newly elected members and delivered their well wishes to the executive committee for the coming year. The program ended by the concluding remark from ANQ president.
